Sometimes a bit of occupational therapy isn’t bad - especially during a new lockdown. But after so many lockdowns you’re probably out of ideas. Do you want something other than taking a walk or binging new series? Try to grow your own cannabis plant! Here’s your guide on how to start.
1. Start small
All beginnings are difficult. Our advice is to start with one plant and just see how it goes. Step by step. Then you will know whether you like it or not and you can grow and invest more. P.S. Officially you are not allowed to have cannabis plants in your home, but up to five plants there is a (kind of) tolerance policy.
2. Buy descent stuff (and check reviews)
It is important that you buy a quality growing kit, such as a heat lamp and good soil. So check reviews of the products you buy. But it’s not cheap: a complete grow kit can easily cost around three hundred euros.

3. Use easy to grow seeds
There are countless different seeds you can plant, but some are easier to grow than others. Try an Amnesia Haze for example. Easier than most seeds and it grows pretty fast too: in about ten weeks you will already have a plant with buds! And have you looked into autoflow seeds yet?
4. Patience is a virtue
Growing cannabis takes time. And you probably won’t succeed the first time. In the beginning you will have to switch between different types of weed and experiment with soil, light and everything else. But if you succeed, after 10 weeks you will have something very special to smoke. And for those who can’t wait that long: you are always welcome in our coffeeshop!
