Origins of Moonrock

Some call it the champagne or caviar of weed: Moonrock. The enhanced buds are fairly exclusive and wickedly strong. Where does it actually come from?

Like most weed varieties, there are different stories about its origin, so we don’t know for sure. It was probably developed in the early 1990s, somewhere along the west coast of the US. But exactly who invented it is not entirely clear.

What we do know is that west coast rapper Kurupt made Moonrock popular, and even developed his own kind called Kurupt Moonrock. In any case, it hasn’t hurt the rapper, as he has since built a very profitable Moonrock empire.
