When it comes to cannabis, there are plenty of confusing spacy definitions, but we’re happy to help. We’ve already explained the difference between Indica and Sativa, the meaning of Autoflowers and what CBD is. Today: what does hybrid mean?
As you probably know by now, there is Indica and Sativa weed. But since weed has been crossed with each other for an incredibly long time, pure Sativa or Indica strains are rare. Most strains are actually ‘hybrids’: weed with both indica and sativa in their DNA.

Hybrid effects
Since hybrid cannabis carry both Indica and Sativa genetics, smoking them can have an Indica and a Sativa effect as well. Common effects are happy, euphoric, uplifting, energetic, relaxing - however, it all depends very much on which hybrid you smoke.
But how do you know what effect you will get? To get some idea of the effect of a hybrid, you can look at its ‘ancestors’. What types were these and what was their effect? If, for example, the parentage contains more indica, then it is possible that this effect is dominant. But of course, we can’t give any guarantees.
