What does Kush mean? There are many cannabis strains that are called Kush - Kosher Kush, Rollex OG Kush, Strawberry Banana Kush - and often the effect of certain types of weed is described as ‘kushy’. What does ‘kush’ mean and where does it come from?
First, some context. Weed strains are broadly divided into Indica, Sativa and Hybrid varieties. But within these three ‘strains’ there are countless varieties, one of which is Kush. It is actually a subspecies, just like Haze or Purple

Origin & effect
Kush is an Indica, originally from the Hindu Kush mountains, an area that stretches from Afghanistan to Pakistan. It is one of the few places in the world where weed grows naturally.
The effect of kush can vary from person to person, but in general it feels heavier and has a calming effect. Most people also experience a euphoric feeling and get a nice boost of happiness. Definitely worth a try!
