Weed has been gaining popularity in recent years. And we’re not just talking about smoking it: healthier variants such as vaping are also gaining ground. Just like CBD. But what is the difference with THC?
CBD, also called weed oil, consists of extracts from cannabis plants. Unprocessed, the plants contain about a hundred active compounds, but the balance of compounds depends on the specific plants the oil comes from.

Active substances
The two main active ingredients in cannabis plants are cannabidiol, also known as CBD, and delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, better known as THC. Oil extracted from hemp plants contains a lot of CBD, while oil from skunk plants contains much more THC.
And now for the important part. THC provides the high that recreational cannabis users seek, while oils for medical use contain mostly CBD. A big difference.
