When someone is ‘stoned’ or ‘high’, we generally mean that they smoked cannabis (or had edibles) and are feeling the effects. But what is the difference between high and stoned?
High
A high is a feeling of euphoria. It is often accompanied by a lot of energy, happy feelings, mood swings and other unexpected and intense feelings. A high can also be very fruitful, as some people become very confident and are able to accomplish a lot of to do’s. The high is generally followed by a period of being ‘stoned’.

Stoned
Stoned is actually the opposite of high, but does not necessarily mean that someone is not feeling well. It is just a state in which someone is more relaxed and a bit more lazy. That’s why some people experience a high first, but become stoned when the body becomes tired.
